Firewood
We regret to inform you that after doing so for 38 years, in February 2024 Canton Twp, MI took us to court to force us out of this part of our business. We no longer were permitted to process firewood and had to sell down our stockpile of wood which had to be relocated off-site in order to comply with the court order. This all started because a non-resident landowner, Shajara Tayyiba Holdings, whose property surrounds ours, reported our firewood sales to Canton Twp as a zoning violation and Canton Twp chose to agree with this non-resident over us who have been residents since 1985. And contrary to the explanations given by Canton Twp offices, we DID NOT retire nor did we desire to stop our firewood services. It was lawfare used against us.
